We are a mixed Practice offering both NHS and affordable Private dental care.
Availability of care is provided to all existing patients and new patients are always welcome although occasionally there is a restriction on this. When demand for NHS places is greater than our availability or NHS funding allowance, we may have to ask you to wait for a few months on our waiting list before we can accept you.
Private dental care is always available with all aspects of dentistry available at reasonable costs to reflect the extra time allowed for this treatment as well as the use of the best materials suitable for the treatment. A detailed price list is available on this website or ask for a copy at our reception.
Specialised treatments offered by the Practice include implants, cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening and hygiene therapy treatment provided by the dentists themselves.
All children are very much welcome at the practice and are educated about diet and tooth brushing techniques. We believe that prevention is the best way of ensuring children achieve a perfect smile and healthy teeth, free from fillings. We also provide fluoride applications and fissure sealants for protection against decay.
Preventive Measures also include
Regular and continuous Monitoring of Gum Disease to prevent or delay the onset of major irreversible deterioration of the gum support to teeth.
Decay Detection – Detect early decay and prevent unnecessary discomfort. To aid this we have the latest Digital Technology which can Detect Decay before it can be seen visually
Mouth Cancer Screening – Smoking, drinking and unhealthy diets increases risks of mouth cancer. Early detection increases chances of survival
All of the preventative measures can only be achieved by regular periodic examinations. These time periods are variable on an individual basis which your dentist will advise you of but as a general rule we recommend 6 monthly examinations. Our computer systems are now able to send you txt messages for these reminder renewals and so we would be grateful if you constantly update us of all of your personal contact details as well as any changes to your medical histories especially medications that may have been prescribed to you.
We have a dedicated Implant team in the practice. Whether you have full dentures, partial dentures or a single missing tooth, implants are the answer.
They look natural, feel natural and can prevent further bone loss and the resulting “sagging” of facial tissues when teeth are lost. Ranging from single tooth replacements, to full mouth reconstructions, this is the most effective method of replacing missing teeth.
A More Natural Approach
A dental implant is a small, sturdy, titanium post that acts as the root structure would for a natural tooth. A dental implant is placed into your upper or lower jaw bone. After the bone has grown around the implant, implants can hold a crown, bridge or over-denture just like roots hold natural teeth in place.
Implants are very durable and can last a lifetime. They require the same maintenance as natural teeth; this includes brushing, flossing and regular dental check-ups. Many patients have told us that dental implants have transformed their lives, enabling them to smile with confidence
If you are unhappy about the colour of your teeth or your have some staining, Hamsey Green Dental Practice provides professional tooth whitening treatment that can address this with great results. Our team has training and experience in delivering tooth whitening treatment to a very high standard.
Teeth can be stained by foods, drinks, smoking and certain medications. Teeth whitening is a safe procedure that can lighten the colour of your teeth by using a safe dental bleaching agent. At Hamsey Green Dental we provide the ONLY safe and legal bleaching procedure available to the dental profession. This entails the provision of bleaching trays which fit snugly over your teeth. The low concentration bleaching agent is inserted into the tray which can be worn overnight or a few hours during the day. Not only is recognised as the most effective bleaching process but it is also the longest lasting and cheapest procedure available. We only use the best and approved bleaching material available.. Individual results vary and are based on your initial tooth colour and the nature of your tooth staining. Results are normally seen over 2 weeks and your teeth will also appear whiter and brighter.
We look forward to looking after your smile!
Please be advised that bleaching is only legally available by a dentist who is registered with the General Dental Council and if it provided elsewhere it is often ineffective or worse still is actually harmful to your teeth and especially to your gums. Similarly also be aware of ‘In-House Bleaching’ done in an hour in the dental chair as it involves the use of an illegal strong concentration bleach.
